Good apps for an Android tablet?
Apparently, part of the reason I had to go out yesterday instead of being able to stay for the meeting was because my wife was taking me to get the Nexus 7 I wanted for my B-Day/Christmas present
I've never had an Android device before. I've gotten Facebook, Skype, Twitter and other essentials, but I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions for other apps.

RE: Good apps for an Android tablet?
That would greatly depend on the things you're in to... but I would say that NETFLIX is an app every android user should have, lol.
Edit: Also, there is a killer Kindle app that you can run to essentially make your tablet a kindle, so that's a cool one, too.

RE: Good apps for an Android tablet?
Grabbed Netflix, and then my wife complained about me watching TV on it instead of on the TV. I guess I'm looking for some office apps. I grabbed Google Drive, but I'm wondering if there is a PowerPoint viewer that might be good. I also bought the Penny Arcade RPG, but I'm looking for a few other games (preferably ones without Open Feint integration).

You can probably get a sat nav app.
There are coding apps as well for some designers and coders. There are also apps that can be inform you from the amount of your gass bill to the amout of water that's about to rain.

RE: Good apps for an Android tablet?
Thank you for the link. The swiftkey app is definitely needed.
EDIT: So I went through and read the Nexus 7 specific reviews for Swiftkey, and they are nothing but complaint after complaint about how it crashes the system or doesn't recognize keystrokes, etc. I'm going to keep an eye on it, but I'm not sure if I'll be getting yet.

Going to keep an eye on this thread. Bought my wife an Acer Iconia the other day which runs on Android also.

The "Swiftkey 3" reviews that i've looked at are overwhelmingly positive (amazon, google play, & cnet). Also, the same reviewer listed his favorite 10 apps for the writer (below), though i'd just call them productivity apps. Some interesting stuff. http://www.zdnet.com/10-nexus-7-apps-for...000002740/
